JELLY BEAN ART.
We’ve seen plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of those once-ingenious stop motion animation videos of people laying on the ground with cool things happening all around them (the first I ever saw was this gorgeous Oren Lavie music video). That video blew my mind. So simple, but so incredible. Now, though, while they’re fun, I’m hardly ever as impressed.
Enter Kina Grannis, and 288,000 jelly beans. It isn’t just the jellybeans that amaze; the interactions, transitions, and concepts are like creative napalm.
The video took two years, and every single thing you see is in-camera. Some frames took 5 minutes to set up, some frames took 3 hours. There was a jelly bean plaster mold involved. Watch the Behind The Scenes here.
